How to grow your own pies
Sow your pies in early February if you need them to be ready for Easter. Pies can take between four days and three weeks to fully ripen. Always aerate the soil a week before planting.

Your pies should be near a window but out of direct sunlight. They will need plenty of oxygen to achieve significant tenderness. It is important to select a pie filling that matches the soil type in your area.

Keep your pies moist but don’t waterlog them as this could impair the flavour. They should be lightly watered twice a day using a medium sprinkler. Once they are fully grown leave your pies to dry in the sun for a few days before storing.
